Pigeon Appreciation Day!
How to Appreciate Pigeons
Are you sick and tired of those pigeons hanging around town all the time, but can't seem to get rid of them? Instead of complaining, the next best thing might just be to learn to love and appreciate them!
Go to a place where pigeons usually walk around like, the town or city, or even a park.Observe them and keep note of their plumage.
Buy some seeds (unsalted) at your grocery store and feed it to the pigeons, come to them slowly and show them the seeds you have so the pigeons know you are not any harm to them, if you are coming too fast you will scare them away.Do not feed pigeons bread as it is not as nutritious as seeds and other foods they need to eat to be healthy, and the pigeons will fill up on bread instead of eating foods they need.
Establish relationships with the pigeons.Think of names and personalities for them, and watch them get used to you.
Look at all the variety in their plumage and try to appreciate it instead of just keep track of it.Pigeons aren't as boring as you think.
Listen to their soft cooing sound and think about it.Think about how lovely it is, and how bleak the world would be without these nice birds. Each bird has a distinct coo.
Research about pigeons on the Internet to know about them more.
QuestionHow do I get a pigeon to trust me?wikiHow ContributorCommunity AnswerOffer it sunflower seed and millet. Speak to it gently and don't make any sudden moves. They like a routine, so offer the food at the same place and time every day. They recognize and remember people who are good to them, as well as those who treat them badly! After a while they will eat from your hand, walk across your hand and allow you to pet them. Thanks!

- Pigeons are very intelligent birds. They will remember pretty much anything you teach them.
- Don't scare away the pigeons. Pigeons can remember people and treating them rudely one time can cause them to avoid you in the future.
- When interacting with a wild animal, you cannot always predict its behaviour. Pigeons are not generally aggressive and prefer to fly away rather than fight, but any animal may attack if you cause it to feel threatened.
- Be aware that pigeon droppings not only smell foul, of course, but are generally contaminated with countless different pathogens. It is also highly acidic, and may leave stains in clothes if you come into contact. Stay clear!
